Originally from North London, Tamara moved to Leeds to study Foreign Languages and then a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. She started teaching in a busy secondary school in Essex but quickly moved into the world of specialist educational needs and disabilities. She holds two post graduate diplomas in education.
Tamara’s interest in alternative therapies started from attending an introductory course in aromatherapy and this inspired a desire to pursue further study in this area. She gained the VTCT Level 3 in Body Massage and Indian Head Massage in 2007 through Swindon College and the ITEC Level 3 Diplomas in Aromatherapy (2007) and Reflexology (2008) through Newbury College. She also has a first degree Reiki qualification.
Tamara is a qualified and insured member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT), the largest and leading professional association for therapists in the UK and Ireland. Tamara volunteered for 3 years as the local coordinator for the FHT Marlborough Local Support Group, organising regular meetings and updates for therapists in the area.
This has been invaluable in keeping her skills and knowledge up to date as well as learning about the wide variety of holistic therapies currently available in the UK.
After nearly 25 years in education Tamara decided to embark on a new venture to turn one of her passions into a new career and establish her own business, offering Reflexology, Aromatherapy and Massage around the Marlborough and Avebury area of Wiltshire.
Tamara’s other interests include cycling, open water swimming and running (occasionally combined into triathlon) and she is currently learning to play the piano. She is also an ASA level 2 qualified swimming teacher and holds a Level 3 certificate in British Sign Language.
